SUMMARYThe Pharmacy Manager is responsible for overseeing the pharmacy's operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations, and managing financial and personnel functions to maintain optimal performance. They also provide patient care services, including counseling and training pharmacy associates, while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and legal compliance.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESRegisters with state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.Oversees for maintaining the pharmacy in good standing with all federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.Responsible for the entire operation of the pharmacy department to achieve expected pharmacy service levels, financial goals including budget, payroll, third party administration, scheduling and inventory management to promote optimal financial viability.Responsible for managing pharmacy support personnel functions within the pharmacy department, including job performance and review.Responsible for guidance and training of pharmacy associates and holds them accountable for complying with regulatory and company police.Ensures completion of company required training by all pharmacy associates.Participates in patient centered services including immunization, MTM, and wellness programs.Counsels patients and medical providers regarding the nature and use of drugs, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects.Maintains and participates in continuous quality improvement programs to ensure patient safety.Maintains department facilities consistent with legal and company standards.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSLicensed and registered Pharmacist in good standing within the state of practice.Meets all state and federal requirements to serve as the pharmacist-in-charge (PIC)Previous pharmacy leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferredPrevious retail/community pharmacy experienceImmunization Certification or agreement by pharmacist to complete.Must have a Valid Driver’s License.Must be at least 21 years of age.Must submit to DL Monitoring.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited pharmacy programGeneral knowledge of pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing systemsAbility to communicate effectively: verbal, written and electronic.Strong leadership skills and ability to manage others.Ability to assign, prioritize, and evaluate the work of others.Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and WordPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSBending Occasional 1-3 HoursDriving Frequent 3-5 HoursGrasping/Finger Movement & Dexterity- Left/Right Hands Frequent 3-5 HoursLifting Occasional 1-3 Hours up to 25lbsSquatting/Kneeling Occasional 1-3 HoursStanding Constant 5-8 HoursOur Company does not discriminate against individuals on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, affection or sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, liability for military service, status as a veteran, gender identity or expression, genetic information, pregnancy, and any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.
