The role involves providing professional pharmaceutical services, dispensing medications accurately, advising customers on prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) products, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting the achievement of the pharmacy's operational and commercial objectives.For the Pharmacy Manager position, the role additionally includes responsibility for the overall day-to-day management of the pharmacy, team supervision, inventory control, customer service standards, and operational performance.Key AccountabilitiesEnsure the safe, accurate, and professional dispensing of prescription medications in accordance with UAE regulations and professional standards.Provide appropriate pharmaceutical advice and counseling to customers regarding medications, dosage, usage, precautions, and potential side effects.Recommend suitable OTC medications and healthcare products based on customers' needs and within professional and regulatory guidelines.Ensure compliance with DHA requirements, UAE pharmaceutical regulations, and all applicable pharmacy policies and procedures.Maintain high standards of patient safety, pharmaceutical care, and customer service.Monitor pharmacy operations to ensure smooth and efficient daily workflow.Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, controlled medications, inventory, and other required documentation.Support the achievement of pharmacy sales and service targets while maintaining professional and ethical standards.Build strong relationships with customers and promote customer retention and satisfaction.Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and ensure appropriate resolution.General ResponsibilitiesMaintain a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment.Ensure all medications and healthcare products are stored appropriately and according to required conditions.Monitor medication expiry dates and ensure proper stock rotation and disposal procedures.Follow all health, safety, quality, and infection-control requirements applicable to the pharmacy.Maintain confidentiality of patient and customer information at all times.Stay updated on new medications, pharmaceutical products, treatment guidelines, and relevant regulatory requirements.Participate in training, professional development, and pharmacy initiatives as required.Work collaboratively with other pharmacy team members and healthcare professionals.Perform any other duties relevant to the role as assigned by management.Job Specific Responsibilities – Pharmacy ManagerTake overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation and performance of the pharmacy.Supervise, lead, and motivate pharmacy staff to ensure high standards of professional performance and customer service.Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage based on operational requirements.Monitor team performance, productivity, attendance, and compliance with pharmacy procedures.Manage pharmacy inventory, purchasing, stock levels, and supplier coordination.Minimize stock shortages, overstocking, expiry losses, and inventory discrepancies.Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to improve pharmacy revenue and profitability.Ensure compliance with DHA inspections, regulatory requirements, internal procedures, and documentation standards.Implement and maintain SOPs and operational procedures.Handle escalated customer complaints and operational issues.Coordinate with management regarding pharmacy performance, staffing, inventory, sales, and operational requirements.Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of pharmacy team members.Ensure the pharmacy consistently delivers a high-quality customer experience.Job Specific Responsibilities – PharmacistDispense prescription medications accurately and in accordance with applicable regulations.Review prescriptions and identify potential medication-related issues, interactions, contraindications, or dosage concerns.Provide professional medication counseling and guidance to customers.Recommend appropriate OTC medications, vitamins, supplements, and healthcare products when suitable.Provide advice on medication usage, dosage, administration, storage, and possible side effects.Maintain accurate prescription and medication records.Monitor stock availability and report shortages or near-expiry products.Support inventory management and daily pharmacy operations.Maintain professional relationships with customers and healthcare providers.Contribute to achieving pharmacy service and sales objectives while maintaining professional standards.Skills RequiredValid DHA Pharmacist License or DHA Eligibility.Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, prescription medications, and OTC products.Strong dispensing and medication counseling skills.Good understanding of UAE pharmacy regulations and professional standards.Previous experience in a Dubai community pharmacy is required.Strong customer service and communication skills.Excellent English communication skills.Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.Professional, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.Good commercial awareness and ability to support pharmacy sales objectives.For Pharmacy Manager: Strong leadership, team management, problem-solving, and pharmacy operations skills.Qualification & ExperienceEducation:Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent recognized qualification.Valid DHA Pharmacist License or DHA Eligibility is mandatory.Experience:Previous experience working in a community pharmacy in Dubai is required.Experience in dispensing, OTC consultation, customer service, and pharmacy operations.Previous team supervision or pharmacy management experience is required for the Pharmacy Manager position.Key Performance
