The system is supported by an extensive network of more than 300 physicians and multiple outpatient care centers across the region. Genesis Healthcare System includes eight Genesis outpatient pharmacies in addition to a Northside Home Infusion Pharmacy and Genesis Specialty Pharmacy. Role Description The Pharmacy Manager is a full-time, on-site role at Genesis Maysville Pharmacy located in Zanesville, OH. This role oversees the daily operations of the pharmacy, including staff scheduling, workflow coordination, and compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The Pharmacy Manager ensures accurate and timely prescription processing, supervises and mentors pharmacy technicians, and promotes best practices in pharmacy care. Responsibilities include managing inventory, overseeing immunization services, collaborating with physicians and other care team members, and supporting quality improvement initiatives. The role also involves monitoring performance metrics, optimizing patient experience, and contributing to strategic planning for pharmacy services within Genesis Healthcare System.Qualifications Demonstrated leadership in supervising and developing Pharmacy Technicians, including coaching, training, and performance management.Strong knowledge of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice, with the ability to apply clinical and operational standards in a healthcare system setting.Expertise in Prescription processing, verification, and medication safety, with attention to accuracy and regulatory compliance.Experience providing or overseeing Immunization services, following current guidelines and maintaining proper documentation.Active pharmacist license in the state of Ohio (or eligibility to obtain), and graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy (PharmD preferred).Experience in hospital or health-system pharmacy management, including staffing, budgeting, and workflow optimization.Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and external partners.Ability to use pharmacy information systems and electronic health records; familiarity with quality and safety initiatives is beneficial.Commitment to equitable, patient-centered care and adherence to ethical and professional standards.
