Pharmacist In ChargeChampaign, IllinoisFull TimeWork Hours: Monday–Friday, normally 8:30 AM–5:00 PMWork Setting: OnsiteThe Pharmacist in Charge will be responsible for preparing and dispensing appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients, leading a team of Pharmacy Technicians, and managing the overall day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. The position requires strong retail pharmacy management experience, leadership skills, regulatory compliance knowledge, and the ability to oversee pharmacy workflows and inventory.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and execute provider prescriptions, ensuring appropriateness and legality.Organize pharmacy operations and products for efficient identification and dispensing.Maintain control of medication inventory, including stocking, labeling, and monitoring medications to prevent expiration or deterioration.Listen to customers, understand their needs, and provide appropriate information and guidance.Prepare medications using correct dosages and appropriate materials for individual patients.Maintain accurate patient profiles and records of medication dispensing activities.Stay current with HIPAA and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse requirements.Comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, regulations, and procedures.Ensure the pharmacy and its employees remain compliant with applicable regulatory requirements.Ensure pharmacy employees understand and follow facility policies.Direct the daily work of Pharmacy Technicians.Provide input for technician performance evaluations and communicate behavioral or performance concerns to Senior Management.Manage Pharmacy Technician schedules.Communicate requests for leave of absence or medical accommodations to Senior Management.Perform other duties as necessary.Required QualificationsPharmD degree.Current, active Illinois Pharmacist License.Minimum 5 years of retail pharmacy manager experience.Previous retail pharmacy management experience.Experience leading and managing Pharmacy Technicians.Experience using a Pharmacy Patient Management System.Strong oral and written communication skills.Fluent in English.Strong leadership, communication, and management skills.
