As we grow our Jackson location, we are looking for dedicated team members who are passionate about healthcare and making a meaningful impact in the lives of patients.Position OverviewVital Care of Jackson is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team.The Pharmacy Technician will support daily pharmacy operations while also assisting with patient intake, insurance coordination, provider communication, and administrative workflows. This position plays an important role in ensuring accurate prescription processing, efficient pharmacy operations, and a positive experience for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced specialty pharmacy environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who wants to be part of building and growing a local healthcare organization.ResponsibilitiesPharmacy OperationsAssist pharmacists with daily specialty pharmacy operationsProcess prescription orders and maintain accurate patient and medication recordsSupport medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing workflows under pharmacist supervisionMaintain inventory, monitor medication and supply levels, and assist with ordering processesFollow pharmacy policies, safety procedures, and HIPAA compliance standardsEnsure accurate documentation and attention to detail in all pharmacy activitiesPatient Support & Intake CoordinationReceive and process new patient referrals from healthcare providersCollect and verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentationAssist with benefits verification, prior authorizations, and insurance coordinationCommunicate professionally with patients, caregivers, providers, and insurance partnersHelp coordinate patient onboarding and support a seamless transition into therapyAdministrative SupportMaintain organized patient records and pharmacy documentationAssist with daily office operations and workflow managementSupport compliance and quality improvement initiativesHelp improve processes as the pharmacy continues to growProvide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare partnersQualificationsActive Pharmacy Technician registration or certification preferredPrevious pharmacy technician experience preferredExperience in specialty pharmacy, infusion pharmacy, prior authorizations, or healthcare administration is a plusStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a healthcare settingExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independentlyComfortable using computers, pharmacy systems, and Microsoft Office applicationsCommitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliancePreferred ExperienceCandidates with experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:Specialty pharmacyInfusion pharmacyPrescription processingPrior authorizationsInsurance verificationBenefits investigationPatient intakeHealthcare administrationWhy Join Vital Care of Jackson?This is an exciting opportunity to become an early member of a growing specialty infusion pharmacy serving Jackson and the surrounding communities.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with healthcare providers, support patients through their treatment journey, contribute ideas, and help establish strong pharmacy workflows from the ground up.We are looking for someone who is dependable, proactive, and passionate about providing excellent patient care.Compensation: $40,000–$45,000 annually, based on experience and qualificationsEmployment Type: Full-TimeLocation: On-site — Jackson, TN
