Daily responsibilities include assisting pharmacists with prescription preparation, labeling, and dispensing; verifying patient and prescription information; and ensuring accurate data entry into pharmacy systems. The role also involves managing inventory, restocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and maintaining organized storage of medications and supplies. Pharmacy Technicians provide direct customer service by answering questions, processing payments, coordinating pick-ups and deliveries, and supporting curbside services. The position requires adherence to safety, confidentiality, and regulatory standards while contributing to a collaborative, patient-centered environment.QualificationsStrong knowledge of prescriptions and basic pharmacology concepts, with the ability to accurately handle prescription orders.Experience working in a pharmacy setting, understanding pharmacy operations, workflow, and regulatory requirements.Background as a Pharmacy Technician, including familiarity with technician duties and best practices.Skills in inventory control, including tracking stock levels, managing reorders, and maintaining accurate records.Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, handle inquiries, and support a welcoming patient experience.Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and reliability in following procedures and safety protocols.Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced retail or clinical environment.High school diploma or equivalent required; register with the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy.Basic computer and point-of-sale system proficiency; prior experience with pharmacy software is an advantage.
