The faculty member will design and deliver undergraduate and graduate-level courses in biomedical engineering, ensuring high academic standards and alignment with program outcomes. Daily responsibilities include preparing lectures and course materials, supervising laboratory sessions, mentoring students, supervising research projects and theses, and providing academic advising. The role also involves conducting original research, publishing in reputable journals, seeking research funding, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Additional responsibilities include participating in departmental meetings, contributing to curriculum development, engaging in quality assurance activities, and supporting university events and outreach initiatives.Qualifications Earned PhD in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.Demonstrated experience in teaching biomedical engineering courses at the university level, with strong classroom and lab instruction skills.Proven research record in biomedical engineering, including peer-reviewed publications and participation in scholarly activities.Ability to design and supervise experimental work, projects, and theses in areas such as medical devices, biomaterials, biomechanics, or biomedical instrumentation.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to diverse learners.Commitment to student-centered teaching, inclusive practices, mentorship, and continuous improvement in pedagogy.Capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues, industry partners, and interdisciplinary teams, and to contribute to departmental and institutional development.Experience with curriculum development, academic advising, accreditation processes, or program assessment is highly beneficial.Familiarity with relevant software tools, lab equipment, and safety standards commonly used in biomedical engineering education and research.Willingness to engage in professional development, community outreach, and initiatives that support the university’s mission and values.
