We are committed to technical excellence, innovation, and delivering sustainable engineering solutions that shape the built environment.About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Plumbing & Firefighting Design Engineer to join our MEP team in Dubai. The role will be responsible for developing and delivering plumbing and firefighting designs across a range of projects, ensuring compliance with applicable international standards, local authority requirements, and project specifications.The successful candidate will also support multidisciplinary coordination and lead a small design team to ensure high-quality and timely project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare plumbing and firefighting system designs for residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, and mixed-use developments.Perform engineering calculations and equipment sizing in line with project requirements and applicable codes.Develop schematic, detailed design, tender, and IFC drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.Ensure all designs comply with relevant international standards, including NFPA, IPC, BS, ASPE, and local authority regulations.Coordinate with architectural, structural, HVAC, electrical, civil, and BIM teams to ensure fully coordinated engineering designs.Assist in preparing design reports, technical submissions, and documentation required for authority approvals.Review and respond to internal design comments and incorporate revisions into project deliverables under the guidance of senior engineers or the Design Manager.Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.Lead and coordinate a small design team, allocating tasks and reviewing work to ensure quality and timely delivery.Support the team in resolving technical and coordination issues throughout the design process.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.6–10 years of relevant experience in plumbing and firefighting design, preferably within an engineering consultancy.Strong knowledge of international codes and standards, including NFPA, IPC, ASPE, BS EN, and relevant local authority regulations.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.Strong BIM coordination experience is required.Proven experience designing plumbing and firefighting systems across residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, and mixed-use projects.Previous experience leading or coordinating a small design team.Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple deliverables and work within project schedules and quality requirements.Preferred QualificationsProfessional certifications such as PMP, LEED AP, Autodesk Certified Professional, or NFPA certifications would be considered an advantage.What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is technically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
