seeking an experienced and strategic Philanthropy Manager to lead philanthropic programs, giving strategies, donor engagement, grantmaking initiatives, strategic partnerships, and impact-management activities.The ideal candidate will help translate philanthropic priorities into effective funding programs and partnerships while managing relationships with donors, grantees, community organizations, government entities, and other stakeholders throughout the full philanthropy lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement philanthropy strategies aligned with organizational mission, values, funding priorities, and long-term social-impact objectives.Translate philanthropic goals into annual giving plans, funding priorities, grant programs, strategic initiatives, and measurable impact targets.Research social, economic, environmental, educational, healthcare, cultural, community, and other relevant issues to identify strategic philanthropic opportunities.Conduct landscape assessments, needs assessments, stakeholder mapping, benchmarking, and sector research to inform philanthropic priorities.Identify high-impact organizations, initiatives, programs, and partnership opportunities aligned with philanthropic objectives.Develop and manage grantmaking and philanthropic funding programs from strategy and program design through assessment, award, monitoring, evaluation, and closeout.Establish funding criteria, eligibility requirements, assessment methodologies, due-diligence standards, grant conditions, monitoring requirements, and impact measures.Manage grant and funding pipelines and ensure opportunities are evaluated consistently, fairly, transparently, and in accordance with approved policies.Conduct or coordinate organizational, financial, programmatic, governance, compliance, and reputational due diligence on prospective grantees and partners.Prepare funding recommendations, investment memos, grant proposals, decision papers, and strategic briefs for senior leadership, donors, boards, committees, or authorized decision-makers.Manage philanthropic budgets, funding allocations, commitments, disbursements, and portfolio performance in coordination with Finance.Monitor the utilization of philanthropic funds and ensure funding is deployed in accordance with approved objectives, agreements, and funding conditions.Maintain oversight of grant agreements, funding arrangements, amendments, renewals, extensions, and closeout activities.Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with individual donors, family offices, foundations, corporate philanthropists, institutional funders, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, government entities, and strategic partners.Lead donor-engagement and stewardship activities throughout the donor lifecycle.Prepare donor briefings, funding updates, impact reports, proposals, presentations, correspondence, and other relationship-management materials.Understand donor interests, priorities, expectations, giving objectives, and preferred engagement models and align opportunities accordingly.Support the development of customized philanthropic strategies and funding portfolios for major donors and strategic partners where applicable.Identify opportunities for collaborative philanthropy, co-funding, pooled funds, strategic alliances, public-private partnerships, and multi-stakeholder initiatives.Coordinate with nonprofit organizations and grantees to understand program needs, implementation challenges, organizational capacity, and opportunities for greater impact.Monitor grantee performance against agreed objectives, milestones, budgets, deliverables, outcomes, and impact targets.Establish appropriate monitoring and evaluation frameworks for philanthropic programs and funding portfolios.Measure philanthropic outcomes, beneficiary impact, program effectiveness, funding efficiency, and long-term sustainability.Conduct or coordinate impact assessments, beneficiary feedback, program evaluations, outcome reviews, and lessons-learned exercises.Use impact data, research, stakeholder feedback, and evaluation findings to improve funding strategies and philanthropic decision-making.Identify emerging social issues, community needs, philanthropic trends, innovative funding models, and high-potential opportunities.Monitor developments in impact investing, strategic philanthropy, social innovation, community development, nonprofit ecosystems, and sustainable development where relevant.Develop philanthropic opportunity pipelines and proactively identify programs or organizations with strong potential for measurable impact.Coordinate with Foundation Management and Grant Management teams to ensure effective administration and oversight of philanthropic funding.Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate should have experience in philanthropy, grantmaking, foundation management, donor relations, nonprofit management, corporate social responsibility, social impact, community development, impact investing, fundraising, or strategic program management.Experience working with foundations, family offices, major donors, corporate foundations, NGOs, charitable organizations, government entities, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, research institutions, or international development organizations is highly advantageous.The candidate should demonstrate:Strong understanding of philanthropy, grantmaking, charitable giving, social impact, and nonprofit ecosystems.Proven experience developing and managing philanthropic programs, funding portfolios, grants, or strategic partnerships.Strong ability to research social issues, evaluate funding opportunities, and identify organizations or initiatives with high potential for impact.Experience conducting grant or partner due diligence, including financial, organizational, programmatic, governance, and reputational assessment.Strong understanding of donor engagement, stewardship, relationship management, and philanthropic decision-making.Experience managing philanthropic budgets, funding allocations, grants, and financial reporting.Strong impact-measurement and program-evaluation capabilities.Experience developing KPIs, monitoring frameworks, impact dashboards, portfolio reports, and donor reports.Strong stakeholder-management and relationship-building skills across donors, grantees, government entities, nonprofit organizations, and strategic partners.Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent proposal-writing, report-writing, presentation, and executive-briefing capabilities.Strong analytical, research, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving skills.Strong understanding of philanthropic governance, compliance, risk management, ethics, and accountability.Ability to manage multiple funding opportunities, grants, donor relationships, programs, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.Strong negotiation, relationship-management, diplomacy, and influencing skills.Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Familiarity with CRM, grants-management, donor-management, portfolio-management, financial, reporting, or impact-measurement systems.Ability to balance donor objectives, organizational priorities, grantee capabilities, community needs, and measurable impact.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is highly advantageous for UAE and broader GCC philanthropic
