Gray’s combines deep local expertise with global reach, offering exposure to an international audience while maintaining a personalized approach for clients and team members.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Photographer role based in Cleveland, OH. The Photographer will be responsible for capturing high-quality, detailed images of fine art, jewelry, antiques, decorative objects, and rugs for use in auction catalogs, online listings, marketing materials, and digital platforms. Day-to-day tasks include staging and lighting items, shooting still photography from multiple angles, managing image files, and performing basic post-production editing to ensure accurate color and representation. The role also involves collaborating with specialists, cataloguers, and marketing team members to meet deadlines, maintain consistent visual branding, and support timely auction preparation. The Photographer will help maintain studio equipment, organize photography schedules, and ensure a safe, organized workspace.QualificationsStrong product and studio photography skills, with an ability to capture fine detail and texture in art, jewelry, and antiques.Proficiency with digital cameras (Nikon Z-5), lighting equipment, and photography software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom) for editing and color correction.Experience with image organization and file management, including naming conventions, backups, and preparing images for web and print use.Solid understanding of composition, lighting, and visual storytelling to present items clearly and attractively for auction buyers.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when representing the condition, color, and scale of items.Ability to lift, move, and carefully handle artwork, furniture, rugs, and other objects in a safe and controlled manner.Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with owners, cataloguers, and administrative staff in a fast-paced environment.Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines ahead of catalog production and auction dates.Prior experience in product, museum, gallery, or auction photography is highly beneficial.Knowledge or interest in fine art, antiques, decorative arts, and jewelry is a plus.High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in photography
