You may also initially be appointed as a Principal/Senior Engineer.*About the RoleCooler Master seeks an experienced AI Team Lead specializing in Physical AI and Automated Optical Inspection (AI-AOI) on the NVIDIA Metropolis platform. In this role, you will lead a dedicated computer vision and edge AI engineering team to architect, deploy, and scale intelligent visual inspection solutions within manufacturing environments. You will work closely with NVIDIA ecosystem partners and internal cross-functional teams to integrate DeepStream, TAO, and Jetson technologies, driving operational excellence and state-of-the-art AI governance in smart manufacturing.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Project Management: Lead and mentor the Metropolis Visual AI Inspection team, overseeing technical planning, project execution, and quality control.Architecture & Strategy: Formulate AI visual inspection deployment strategies; design system architectures and technical roadmaps tailored for manufacturing shop floors.NVIDIA Partnership & Integration: Partner with NVIDIA and internal R&D to implement and optimize applications using NVIDIA Metropolis, the DeepStream SDK, the TAO Toolkit, and Jetson platforms.Manufacturing Solution Design: Analyze factory operational requirements to conceptualize and deliver scalable AI visual inspection (AOI) solutions.Cross-Functional Resource Management: Coordinate across inter-departmental and remote teams to manage project resources and guarantee on-time delivery.Model Evaluation & Optimization: Establish robust model evaluation frameworks to continuously improve inference performance, accuracy, and throughput.AI Governance & Compliance: Help develop AI Governance frameworks to ensure system safety, reliability, and alignment with upcoming client and regulatory standards.Ecosystem Tracking & Innovation: Monitor developments within the NVIDIA Metropolis ecosystem to continuously adopt new technologies, edge tooling, and industry best practices.Basic QualificationsExperience: 5+ years of R&D experience in Computer Vision (CV) and Edge AI system development, including technical leadership (tech lead/project owner) experience.NVIDIA Platform Expertise: Hands-on familiarity with the NVIDIA Metropolis ecosystem (e.g., DeepStream SDK, Jetson platform).Edge AI Deployment: Proven experience deploying and optimizing Edge AI models on real-world hardware.Domain Knowledge: Prior background in manufacturing quality control (QC/QA) or automated inspection systems.Languages & Communication: Fluency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken), with strong collaboration skills for global clients and cross-border teams.Preferred QualificationsAOI & Smart Manufacturing: Direct project experience with Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) or Smart Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 initiatives.NVIDIA TAO Toolkit: Hands-on experience with NVIDIA TAO Toolkit for transfer learning, fine-tuning, and model pruning.Project Management Certifications: PMP, Agile Scrum Master (CSM/PSM), or equivalent project management certifications.
