Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician / PM&R Specialist | UAE

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician / PM&R Specialist to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE.The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in physical medicine, rehabilitation medicine, musculoskeletal care, pain management, and functional recovery, helping patients improve mobility, independence, and quality of life.The successful candidate will work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, pain specialists, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive PM&R consultations and functional assessmentsDiagnose and manage musculoskeletal, neurological, and physical disabilities affecting mobility and functionDevelop individualized rehabilitation and treatment plans based on each patient's clinical condition and functional goalsEvaluate patients with acute, chronic, and disabling conditionsManage musculoskeletal pain, back pain, neck pain, joint disorders, and sports-related injuriesAssess and manage patients recovering from stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological conditionsEvaluate patients with mobility limitations, weakness, gait abnormalities, and functional impairmentProvide appropriate non-surgical management for musculoskeletal and rehabilitation conditionsPerform appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the physician's training, competence, and approved scope of practiceProvide or coordinate appropriate pain-management interventions where clinically indicatedReview and interpret relevant X-rays, MRI, CT scans, laboratory investigations, and other diagnostic studiesDevelop coordinated rehabilitation programs with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, nurses, and other allied health professionalsMonitor patient progress and modify rehabilitation plans according to functional outcomesProvide appropriate patient and family education regarding rehabilitation, mobility, exercise, prevention, and long-term careCoordinate referrals to orthopedic surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, rheumatology, pain medicine, or other specialties when requiredMaintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential medical recordsParticipate in multidisciplinary rehabilitation meetings and case conferencesContribute to clinical audits, quality improvement, patient-safety initiatives, and continuing professional developmentFollow applicable UAE healthcare regulations, professional standards, clinical guidelines, and facility policiesRequirementsMBBS, MD, or equivalent recognized medical qualification.Recognized postgraduate qualification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation Medicine, or an equivalent specialty.Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.Strong experience in physical medicine, rehabilitation, and functional assessment.Good knowledge of musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation.Strong clinical reasoning and treatment-planning skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.Patient-centered approach with a focus on functional outcomes and quality of life.
