strategy and operational programs across offices, stores, warehouses, distribution centers, facilities, project sites, and other critical locations.The ideal candidate will develop and implement physical security standards, conduct threat and vulnerability assessments, oversee access control and surveillance systems, manage guarding and security service providers, establish security operations and incident-response procedures, and continuously strengthen the organization's overall physical security posture.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the organization's physical security strategy, policies, standards, procedures, controls, and governance framework.Establish enterprise-wide physical security programs covering people, facilities, assets, infrastructure, equipment, technology environments, visitors, contractors, and critical operations.Develop annual physical security plans, priorities, budgets, risk-reduction initiatives, security improvement programs, and performance objectives.Establish physical security governance structures, roles, responsibilities, escalation procedures, reporting requirements, and accountability mechanisms.Develop and maintain physical security policies, standards, operating procedures, security manuals, site-security plans, emergency procedures, and response protocols.Conduct comprehensive physical security risk assessments across offices, stores, warehouses, distribution centers, facilities, project sites, and other critical locations.Conduct threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments based on location, asset criticality, operating environment, crime exposure, geopolitical conditions, business activity, and historical incidents.Identify physical security vulnerabilities involving perimeter protection, access control, surveillance, lighting, doors, locks, restricted areas, visitor management, security staffing, alarms, emergency systems, and facility design.Develop and maintain physical security risk registers, vulnerability assessments, mitigation plans, corrective-action trackers, and security improvement roadmaps.Establish risk-based physical security requirements for different site types, asset categories, threat levels, and operational environments.Develop minimum physical security standards for offices, stores, warehouses, distribution centers, data centers, project sites, parking areas, loading docks, restricted facilities, and other locations.Develop site-specific security plans based on asset value, location risk, occupancy, operating hours, criticality, threat profile, and business requirements.Review and approve site-security arrangements for new facilities, relocations, renovations, expansions, acquisitions, and major operational changes.Provide physical security input into facility design, construction, fit-out, refurbishment, workplace planning, and capital projects.Review site layouts, perimeter design, entrances, exits, security zones, access points, reception areas, loading areas, parking areas, emergency exits, lighting, and surveillance coverage.Establish security zoning and layered protection principles for critical facilities and sensitive areas.Develop requirements for secure areas, restricted areas, high-security zones, critical infrastructure areas, server rooms, communications rooms, cash rooms, stockrooms, and other sensitive spaces.Establish physical protection standards for critical assets, high-value inventory, equipment, technology infrastructure, confidential materials, and other sensitive resources.Develop and manage enterprise access-control policies and procedures.Establish standards for employee badges, access cards, biometric systems, credentials, keys, locks, security codes, and other physical access mechanisms.Define access authorization levels based on job responsibilities, location, risk, and business need.Establish procedures for access provisioning, modification, suspension, termination, periodic review, and emergency access.Coordinate with Human Resources and IT to ensure employee transfers, onboarding, offboarding, and role changes are appropriately reflected in physical access rights.Establish visitor management standards covering registration, identification, access authorization, escort requirements, temporary badges, restricted areas, and visitor records.Develop contractor, supplier, consultant, and temporary-worker access procedures.Monitor access-control records and investigate unusual, unauthorized, or potentially suspicious access activity.Conduct periodic access-rights reviews and ensure obsolete, duplicate, or unauthorized credentials are removed.Establish key-management and master-key-control procedures.Develop standards for physical locks, safes, secure cabinets, key storage, key issuance, key return, and emergency access.Manage CCTV and video-surveillance strategy across relevant facilities.Establish surveillance coverage standards based on risk, asset criticality, operational requirements, privacy considerations, and regulatory requirements.Develop requirements for CCTV cameras, recording systems, video analytics, monitoring, storage, retention, system availability, and evidence retrieval.Conduct surveillance coverage assessments and identify blind spots, system weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.Establish procedures for reviewing and preserving security footage following incidents.Ensure CCTV and surveillance systems are operated, maintained, accessed, and retained in accordance with applicable requirements and organizational policies.Coordinate with IT and Cybersecurity teams to protect CCTV, access-control, alarm, monitoring, and other security technology infrastructure.Establish security requirements for network-connected physical security systems and associated infrastructure.Manage intrusion detection, alarm systems, panic buttons, duress systems, perimeter detection, and other security technologies where applicable.Establish alarm monitoring, escalation, response, testing, maintenance, and false-alarm management procedures.Monitor physical security technology performance and system availability.Develop security technology roadmaps and recommend improvements based on risk assessments, operational requirements, incidents, and emerging threats.Evaluate new physical security technologies including access control, video analytics, smart surveillance, biometric systems, visitor management, alarm platforms, security operations technology, and integrated security-management systems.Conduct cost-benefit and risk-reduction analysis for physical security investments.Establish security operations requirements for security control rooms, security operations centers, reception security, guard posts, patrols, monitoring teams, and incident-response functions.Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate should have experience in physical security, corporate security, security operations, asset protection, loss prevention, facility security, risk management, emergency management, or related fields.Experience working with multinational corporations, retail, commercial real estate, infrastructure, construction, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, energy, technology, hospitality, critical infrastructure, government organizations, or other complex operating environments is highly advantageous.The candidate should demonstrate:Strong understanding of physical security, security operations, access control, surveillance, perimeter protection, guarding, security technology, threat assessment, and incident response.Proven experience developing and implementing multi-site or enterprise-wide physical security programs.Strong experience conducting threat assessments, vulnerability assessments, site-security assessments, security audits, and risk assessments.Experience developing physical security policies, standards, site-security plans, post orders, emergency procedures, and incident-response protocols.Strong understanding of CCTV, video surveillance, access-control systems, alarms, intrusion detection, biometric systems, visitor management, perimeter protection, locks, barriers, and related technologies.Experience managing security officers, control-room personnel, guarding companies, consultants, technology providers, and other security service partners.Strong experience developing guard-force staffing models, security procedures, post orders, patrol programs, control-room operations, and security-service KPIs.Experience managing security incidents including unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, suspicious activity, threats, workplace violence, property damage, and other physical security events.Strong understanding of incident investigation, evidence preservation, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and case management.Experience coordinating with police, civil defense, emergency services, government authorities, regulators, and other external stakeholders.
