If you are deeply invested in guiding young musicians as they develop their unique artistic voices, and if you believe that high musical expectations should always coexist with a nurturing, community-supported environment, we invite you to help us shape the next generation of confident, passionate performers.ResponsibilitiesTailored Instruction: Deliver high-quality individual and group piano lessons that seamlessly incorporate technical skill development, robust music theory, sight-reading, and expressive, healthy performance habits.Curriculum Design: Implement and adapt engaging piano curricula tailored to students’ individual skill levels, learning styles, and artistic goals, from early childhood beginners to advanced students.Ensemble & Collaborative Awareness: Cultivate an understanding of collaborative musicianship, helping students connect their solo piano skills to broader musical concepts like chamber music, orchestral listening, and choral awareness.Studio Culture: Maintain a positive, inspiring, and motivating studio environment that balances high artistic standards with supportive mentorship.Performance & Artistry: Prepare students for regular recitals, evaluations, and community showcases that highlight their achievements, build performance confidence, and celebrate creative growth.Community Engagement: Maintain clear, professional, and collaborative communication with parents and guardians to support student progress, practice habits, and long-term musical development.Skills & QualificationsPedagogical Expertise: Extensive experience in piano pedagogy and studio teaching, with a deep understanding of instrumental technique, body awareness, and age-appropriate methods.Neurodivergent Support (Plus): Experience or a strong background in supporting neurodivergent learners, specifically students with ADHD and ASD, is highly valued. The ability to implement adaptive teaching strategies, sensory-friendly pacing, and flexible, engaging lesson structures is a significant plus.Structured & Creative Planning: Proven ability in lesson planning and curriculum sequencing for diverse age groups, with a strong emphasis on youth music education and development.Comprehensive Musicianship: A strong foundational background in music theory, ear training, and music history, with the ability to make these concepts accessible and engaging to young learners.Inspirational Mentorship: Excellent classroom and studio management skills, utilizing positive reinforcement to foster discipline, focus, emotional regulation, and a genuine passion for music.Interdisciplinary Appreciation: An understanding of how the piano connects to the broader worlds of vocal performance, choral music, and orchestral literature is highly valued.Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively guide students and build strong, collaborative partnerships with families.
