The role involves conducting ground and flight instruction, supporting evaluation and operational flights, developing training programs and materials, and ensuring compliance with applicable aviation regulations, procedures, and operational requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesWork under the management of the organization and report to the Site Superintendent.Identify aircrew training needs and maintain high levels of training standards and competency for helicopter pilots.Conduct ground and flight instruction in accordance with approved publications, syllabi, and training programs, including basic and advanced courses such as conversion, NVG, FCF, hoist, and tactical training.Conduct Functional Check Flights (FCF), evaluation flights, and other required operational flights.Develop and maintain training plans in accordance with operational and training requirements.Review and update applicable regulations, procedures, and training requirements in line with applicable aviation standards and operational needs.Advise operational leadership on aircrew training requirements, qualifications, standardization, and operational readiness.Develop and maintain training materials, publications, syllabi, examinations, and related instructional documents for helicopter operations.Conduct periodic reviews and updates of training publications and materials as required.Maintain, update, and follow up on training records and files for aircrew assigned to helicopter operations.Qualifications, Skills & ExperienceQualified as a Standardization Instructor Pilot through an accredited aviation organization.Hold FAA, EASA, ATP, CFII, SOI (Simulator Operator Instructor), or equivalent aviation qualifications.Minimum of 5,000 total rotary-wing flight hours, including:2,000 hours as an Instructor Pilot (IP).1,000 hours of NVG experience.300 hours on the relevant helicopter platform.Military aviation experience is preferred.Minimum of 100 flight hours during the last 12 months.Demonstrated experience in:Training and Standardization.Hoist Operations.NVG Training.Functional Check Flights (FCF).Tactical Helicopter Operations.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
