Location: Al Madaya / JizanReports To: Chief Operating OfficerDirect Reports: None; functional coordination of site users and data ownersPosition PurposeThe Planning & Technical (MIS) Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating SARA’s production planning, internal process controls, forecasting, and biological reporting systems.The role works closely with production, technical, and finance teams to convert reliable operational data into practical production plans, forecasts, performance reports, and technical recommendations.The position will also act as SARA’s primary internal business owner for aquaManager, Power BI reporting, and interfaces with the ERP system.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain stocking, growth, biomass, feed, harvest, and production forecasts.Prepare annual production plans, rolling forecasts, and operational scenarios.Reconcile actual performance against plans, budgets, forecasts, and previous periods.Identify production constraints relating to seedstock, capacity, feed, labour, equipment, and harvesting.Lead the configuration, implementation, testing, rollout, and improvement of aquaManager.Maintain system workflows, master data, user roles, controls, dashboards, and reports.Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards covering biological, production, operational, and cost performance.Support integration between aquaManager, Power BI, ERP, and other business systems.Establish consistent processes for data capture, validation, correction, closing, and reporting.Review data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and biological plausibility.Analyse growth, survival, biomass, stocking density, feed consumption, FCR, yield, cycle duration, and water quality.Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and crop-cycle production reports.Support production costing, budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, inventory, and revenue assumptions.Develop training materials and provide training and support to system users.Coordinate with production, technical, finance, commercial, IT, and management teams.Ensure reporting systems support biosecurity, traceability, food safety, environmental, and safety requirements.QualificationsA degree in Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, Marine Biology, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Agricultural Science, or a related discipline.
A postgraduate qualification is advantageous.Experience and SkillsMinimum of five years’ relevant experience in commercial shrimp aquaculture, production planning, technical reporting, or production management information systems.Strong practical understanding of shrimp farm operations and biological production cycles.Experience managing production data, forecasts, reconciliations, KPIs, and management reports.Experience implementing or administering aquaculture, agricultural, or production management software.Direct experience with aquaManager is strongly preferred.Strong working knowledge of Power BI, including data preparation, modelling, dashboards, and visualisation.Experience with DAX and Power Query is advantageous.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Understanding of databases, master data, data validation, and system integration.Ability to map processes, establish internal controls, test systems, prepare procedures, and support user adoption.Strong analytical, reporting, presentation, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal English; Arabic is an advantage.Additional RequirementsHigh level of integrity, accuracy, and discretion.Ability to work independently and challenge incomplete or unreliable information.Willingness to work regularly at regional and isolated production sites.Regular travel within SARA’s operating area is required.Work outside normal hours may occasionally be required.Valid driving licence is essential.To ApplyPlease submit your updated CV to [Oayoub@saraaqua.com] and use the following email subject:Application – Planning & Technical (MIS) Officer
