Planning Engineer

Job RoleManages project timelines, tracks daily progress, and coordinates resources for commercial, retail, or residential transformations. They build detailed baseline schedules, monitor material procurement, and resolve site delays to ensure projects finish on time and within budget. Core ResponsibilitiesSchedule Development: Build baseline programs using Primavera P6 or MS Project, breaking down high-end finishes, joinery work, and MEP integration. Progress Monitoring: Track daily and weekly site accomplishments against the baseline to measure actual site progress. Procurement Tracking: Align material delivery dates—such as bespoke furniture, light fixtures, and flooring—with site installation windows. Delay Mitigation: Identify bottlenecks early, analyze schedule impacts, and formulate recovery plans or Extension of Time (EOT) claimsTechnical & Skill RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.Experience: Minimum 3 years of dedicated planning experience within the interior fit-out or construction sector.Software Proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel.Sector Knowledge: Deep familiarity with fast-track sequencing, interior finishing trades, and local authority regulations.
