Planning Engineer

SCOPE: The Planning Engineer (fit-out) plays a pivotal role in coordinating, planning, and scheduling various project activities to ensure timely and efficient project execution. This role involves developing comprehensive project schedules, analyzing progress, and recommending adjustments to meet project objectives within the prescribed time frame and budget.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Project Planning:Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and resource plans using appropriate software.Coordination:Collaborate with project teams to gather project data, monitor progress, and identify potential risks or delays.Scheduling:Analyze project plans, milestones, and critical paths to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.Reporting:Prepare regular progress reports, highlighting variances, constraints, and recommended corrective actions to stakeholders.Resource Allocation:Assist in resource management by optimizing manpower, materials, and equipment allocation based on project requirements.Risk Assessment:Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity.Compliance:Ensure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.Primary Deliverables:Precise and On Time submission of any type of documents/reports/data.Complete tasks efficiently and stay within budget as part of your job responsibilitiesSecondary Deliverables:Provide input to other departments or parties as needed on time.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, progress reports, and resource plans.Collaborate with various departments to gather project data and updates.Monitor project progress and identify deviations from planned schedules.Analyze critical paths, risks, and constraints, providing recommendations for resolution.Conduct regular project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.Assist in the development of project cost estimates and forecasts.Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.Liaise with clients regarding project timelines, updates, and any required modifications.Maintain accurate project documentation, including records of changes, issues, and relevant communications.Identify areas for process improvement and propose innovative solutions for enhanced project efficiency.Foster effective collaboration among project teams and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Adhere to company policies, code of conduct, conflict of interest, standards, rules and regulations at all times.Always prioritize keeping employee information and sensitive data confidentialPrioritize and ensure full compliance with the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies established by the company.Accurate and On Time submissions of balanced scorecards.Maintain supportive documentation to substantiate the actual performance for all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) outlined in the Balanced Scorecard (BSC).SKILLS:Proficiency in Primavera P6 SoftwareAdvanced understanding of construction/facilities management principles.Familiarity with industry-specific software for project tracking and reporting.Strategic planning and execution abilities.Proficient in budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation.Strong analytical skills for project performance evaluation and risk assessment.Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.Excellent communication and negotiation skills for client and stakeholder interactions.Adaptive and resilient approach to address challenges and changes effectively.KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or relevant field.Minimum 5 years of experience in project planning or related roles within the fit-out construction or engineering industry.
