Planning Engineer

Role Description The Director role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Director will provide strategic leadership for the brokerage business, setting vision, goals, and policies aligned with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives. This includes overseeing trading operations, risk management, compliance, finance, and client services, while ensuring the effective use of technology and data for decision-making. The Director will lead and mentor senior managers, review performance metrics, approve major initiatives, and cultivate key relationships with regulators, exchanges, institutional clients, and partners. The role also involves representing PBSL in high-level meetings, guiding product and service innovation, and promoting a culture of integrity, transparency, and investor protection.QualificationsStrong leadership and governance skills, with experience in directing financial services or capital markets organizations.Extensive knowledge of equity trading, brokerage operations, and regulatory frameworks related to stock exchanges and depository services.Proficiency in strategic planning, business development, and performance management, including setting and tracking organizational KPIs.Advanced financial, analytical, and risk management skills, with the ability to interpret market data and manage operational and compliance risks.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities for collaborating with regulators, exchanges, clients, and internal teams.Experience leveraging technology platforms and digital tools to improve trading efficiency, client experience, and operational oversight.Proven track record of leading diverse teams, coaching senior managers, and fostering ethical, client-centric work cultures.Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications in capital markets or securities (e.g., CFA, relevant local licenses) are an advantage.Prior experience in Bangladeshi capital markets or regional financial institutions is highly beneficial.
