Department: Planning / Project ControlsIndustry: Oil & Gas / EPC / ConstructionJob DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer – Mechanical to support planning, scheduling, monitoring, and progress control for oil & gas / EPC construction projects.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.Develop baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project timelines.Monitor project progress against planned targets and identify delays or deviations.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Project teams to ensure schedule compliance.Prepare manpower, material, and equipment planning based on project requirements.Track mechanical construction activities including piping, equipment installation, fabrication, erection, testing and commissioning.Analyse critical path, schedule slippage, and recovery plans.Assist in preparing look-ahead schedules, S-curves, progress measurement and forecasts.Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams for progress updates.Support project management in schedule recovery and mitigation planning.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.5–10 years of experience in planning/scheduling for Oil & Gas, EPC, or construction projects.Strong experience in Primavera P6 is mandatory.Good knowledge of mechanical construction activities, particularly piping and equipment installation.Experience in progress monitoring, reporting, manpower planning, and schedule control.Saudi / GCC experience preferred.Candidates with Oil & Gas project experience will be preferred.
