Planning Engineer - Shipbuilding/ Ship repair

Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and resource plans for shipbuilding and repair projects.Support the development and updating of baseline and look-ahead schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).Monitor progress and assist in identifying project delays, critical paths, and bottlenecks.Coordinate with production, procurement, engineering, and subcontractors to gather project data and update schedules accordingly.Prepare and maintain progress reports, S-curves, histograms, and other planning-related documents.Participate in project review meetings and assist in preparing reports for internal and client submission.Ensure all planning documents and updates are accurately filed and maintained.Adhere to company quality, safety, and environmental procedures and standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, or related fields).2–3 years of experience in a planning role within the shipbuilding or ship repair industry.Familiarity with shipyard operations and project workflows.Basic knowledge of planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.( cost control experience or certificate is preferred)
