Planning Manager - Steel Fabrication

Develop master production schedules based on project requirements and customer deadlines.Prepare weekly and monthly fabrication plans for workshops and production lines.Monitor shop loading and capacity utilization.Balance workloads across fabrication, assembly, welding, blasting, painting, and dispatch activities.Adjust production plans according to changing priorities and operational constraints.Coordinate with Procurement regarding material requirements and delivery schedules.Monitor material availability to prevent production interruptions.Review Material Requirement Planning (MRP) reports.Ensure efficient inventory utilization while minimizing excess stock.Plan manpower, equipment, and workshop resources according to production demand.Monitor productivity and resource utilization.Recommend capacity expansion or resource optimization initiatives when required.Develop and maintain planning KPIs and dashboards.Analyze production performance and schedule adherence.Generate weekly and monthly planning reports.Conduct root-cause analysis for delays and bottlenecks.Improve planning processes and systems.Support ERP/MRP implementation and optimization.Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency.Lead initiatives to reduce lead times and increase delivery performance.QualificationsMinimum of 10 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or related roles within the steel fabrication or manufacturing industry. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.Relevant professional certifications in project management or production planning are preferred.
