Planning Section Head

Job Purpose:To lead the development, optimization, and oversight of production and material planning activities, ensuring alignment with operational objectives. Responsible for generating accurate planning estimates to support tender submissions and strategic decision-making within the assigned unit.

Responsibilities

Supervise various man / machine hours and materials forecasts to facilitate procurement and budget decision making.Supervise studying sales support offers and calculating accurate man / machine hours and materials estimations so accurate competitive sales offers are developed.Supervise developing, following up and controlling production and material plans ensuring in collaboration with purchasing, production and projects teams that contracted delivery dates are met.Supervise issuing purchase requests relevant to work orders according to material plans.Monitor compliance to planned (captured in tenders) materials and production hours to ensure that products are profitable.Analyze actual vs planned figures, highlight deviations and improve future plans accordingly.Study standard material and man /machine hour plans in coordination with design and production departments and optimize as needed to reduce production cost.Identify production blocks and recommend reallocation of manpower between units as needed.Proactively communicate and update stakeholders including projects, purchasing and production teams about future plans to help their preparation.Prepare various planning status reports and metrics to facilitate follow up and decision making.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is mandatory.MBA would be preferred.Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in production planning, material planning including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.Good Command of English.
