Plant & Equipment Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Plant & Equipment Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day maintenance, repair, availability, and safe operation of the plant, equipment, and vehicle fleet based in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

Trade certificate/diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Plant Maintenance, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or a related field.6+ years’ experience maintaining heavy plant, equipment, or commercial vehicles, including 2+ years in a supervisory/lead workshop role.Strong hands-on experience with hydraulics, diesel engines, drivetrains, welding/fabrication, and preventive maintenance.Experience managing service schedules, breakdown repairs, and accurate equipment maintenance records.Good knowledge of workshop safety, isolation/lock-out, safe lifting/jacking, and hot-work procedures.Valid driving license preferred.Good spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively within a multicultural team.

Key Responsibilities

Manage planned maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repairs for all plant, equipment, and vehicles.Diagnose faults and ensure equipment is repaired, tested, and fit for operation.Supervise workshop personnel, allocate daily tasks, and maintain quality, productivity, and safety standards.Manage spare parts and workshop consumables and raise requirements as needed.Coordinate statutory inspections, certifications, and compliance for plant and vehicles.Maintain a safe, organised, and compliant workshop and enforce safe working practices.Schedule and allocate the daily plant and vehicle pool based on operational requirements.Maintain accurate maintenance, service, defect, and asset records.Monitor equipment performance and identify recurring faults and maintenance issues.Take equipment out of service where required for safety, condition, or compliance.
