Plant Electrician (Dammam)

Job Title: Plant ElectricianReports to: Electrical SupervisorBusiness Unit: Manufacturing (ASDI)Function: Engineering / Electrical MaintenanceLevel: TBDLocation: Dammam, KSAPurpose of the JobTo install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment across the plant, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production, utilities, and packaging machinery.

The role supports equipment availability, minimizes electrical breakdowns, and contributes to continuous improvement while complying with safety standards, electrical codes, and company policies.Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesElectrical Maintenance & TroubleshootingPerform routine and corrective maintenance on electrical and electronic systems, equipment, and machinery.Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing instruments (e.g., voltmeters, ohmmeters).Repair, calibrate, regulate, and fine-tune electrical equipment to restore optimal operation.Test electrical systems and circuit continuity to ensure safety, compatibility, and compliance.Installation & System ModificationsPlan layout and install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with specifications and local codes.Support upgrades, modifications, and commissioning of electrical systems and machinery.Ensure installations meet safety, quality, and operational requirements.Machine & Line ImprovementLead and support improvement initiatives on assigned machines or lines with minimal supervision.Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reliability, and electrical system performance.Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives as assigned.Critical Spares MonitoringMonitor availability of critical electrical spare parts and consumables.Coordinate with Stores and Supervisors to ensure timely replenishment of critical spares.Support supplier identification and material control for electrical components.Safety, Compliance & ReportingApply all electrical safety rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and company HSE standards.Maintain a safe working environment for self and team members.Report electrical issues, completed work, and recommendations to the Electrical Supervisor.Support maintenance documentation and work order completion as required.Team Support & LeadershipWork independently with minimal supervision and support Electrical Technicians during critical situations.Coordinate and organize technicians during breakdowns or urgent electrical work.Act as a lead electrician when assigned, supporting timely and effective task execution.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Reduction in electrical and machine breakdowns.Electrical system uptime and reliability.Timely resolution of electrical faults.Compliance with safety and electrical standards.Availability of critical electrical spare parts.Completion of assigned electrical improvement actions.RequirementsExperienceMinimum 5 years of relevant experience as an Industrial / Plant Electrician within a manufacturing environment (beverage industry preferred).KnowledgeStrong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting.Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, plans, manuals, and schematics.Familiarity with packaging and process equipment (e.g., fillers, labelers, palletizers).Understanding of electrical safety standards and local electrical codes.Qualifications & CertificationsTechnical Diploma / College qualification in Electrical or related technical field.Trade Certificate in Industrial Electricity (mandatory).Accountability IndicatorsEnsure safe and reliable operation of plant electrical systems.Minimize downtime caused by electrical failures.Maintain compliance with safety and electrical standards.Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.Ensure proper communication and escalation of electrical issues.Other Skills and AttributesStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Ability to work independently under pressure.Effective coordination and teamwork skills.Safety-conscious and disciplined work approach.Leadership capability during critical or emergency situations.Direct Reports (if Any)Not applicable (May act as lead electrician during shifts or specific assignments)
