About the Role
We are looking for a strong Plant Lead to oversee end-to-end plant operations in Seychelles or Ghana. This role is ideal for an experienced manufacturing leader with strong plant operations capability who can drive operational excellence, cost efficiency, safety, quality, and people leadership across a complex production environment.Work Location: Samut Sakhon, Thailand, with travel required to Seychelles and Ghana.Main purpose of the role:Strategic results: Drive strategic & tactical decisions including production improvement initiatives roadmap and align resources to deliver key functional objectives in alignment with TU strategic goalsBest-in-class manufacturing: Oversee and create best-in-class Ambient production, ensure high standards of operations and adoption of best-practices across all plant functionsFinancial results: Own and manage end-to-end performance of the plant, optimize for cost while maintaining effective production, on-time delivery at right quantity of goods with high-quality standardsEffective collaboration: Facilitate collaboration across functional heads for critical activities; take accountability and ensure effective coordination between operational functions (Production, Maintenance, Quality, etc.) and all supporting functions (Logistics, Purchasing, etc.)People & leadership: Motivate, lead and challenge team members to reach / exceed targets and objectives. Improve and sustain employee engagement scores to be within the top quartile. Develop strong internal leadership pipeline and set positive working culture with teams across Thai Union
Key Responsibilities
Lead overall plant performance, including production, maintenance, quality, warehouse, logistics, facilities, and SHE operationsTranslate business strategy, productivity roadmaps, and KPI targets into clear operational plans and measurable actionsDrive best-in-class manufacturing practices, continuous improvement, cost optimization, on-time delivery, and right-first-time qualityEnsure compliance with food safety, quality, customer, environmental, health, and safety standardsStrengthen cross-functional collaboration between operations and support functions such as logistics, purchasing, HR, finance, and commercial teamsLead, coach, and develop plant leadership teams while building a strong local talent pipeline and positive working cultureManage plant budgets, operational risks, performance variance, and corrective actions to deliver sustainable business resultsWhat We Are Looking For:Strong knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes, and ability to establish and maintain operations standards and guidelinesExperience in identifying and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives and implementing new technologies to improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and utilitiesExcellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to team members, stakeholders, and upper managementStrong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and lead teams, build a diverse and trust-based leadership team, and develop local talentExperience in fostering a culture of continuous learning and development to enhance employee skills and competenciesStrong interpersonal skills to foster a culture of collaboration and effectively drive cross-functional collaborationsThai & English language proficiency are required.Why Join Us:This is a unique opportunity to take on a high-impact international leadership role, shape plant performance, build strong local teams, and contribute directly to business growth across our global manufacturing network.
