Plant Manager

We are recruiting an experienced Plant Leader for an established manufacturing organisation in the Dresden Area, Germany.This is an opportunity for a visible, hands-on leader to take ownership of operational performance, develop teams and drive organisational improvement. The role combines day-to-day operational leadership with a strategic mandate to strengthen efficiency, manufacturing capabilities and long-term competitiveness.Key ResponsibilitiesLead manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives are achieved. Translate business strategy into clear operational priorities and measurable results. Drive transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across people, processes and production capabilities. Embed Lean Manufacturing practices to improve productivity, optimise resources and reduce waste. Build trust and engagement through visible leadership and clear communication during organisational change. Oversee production planning, capacity utilisation and operational resource allocation. Develop leadership capabilities and accountability throughout the organisation. Ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety and industry requirements. Work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable operational improvements. ProfileProven experience as a Plant Leader, Plant Manager or in a comparable senior manufacturing leadership role. Demonstrated success leading operational transformation and organisational change. Strong Lean Manufacturing expertise, supported by measurable improvements in operational performance. Experience managing complex production environments and multidisciplinary teams. A hands-on leadership style, with the credibility to engage employees and influence senior stakeholders. Strong commercial awareness, decision-making and execution skills. Experience in automotive or other demanding industrial manufacturing environments is highly valued. Fluency in German and English. Availability to work on-site in the Dresden Area, Germany.
