Plant Manager – Building Material Manufacturer

Location: North Dakota

Employment Type: Full-timeSalary: $140,000 - $160,000 base salary + 20% annual bonus.We are seeking a Plant Manager to lead the overall performance, profitability, and operational success of our North Dakota manufacturing facility.

This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for safety, quality, production, maintenance, inventory, workforce development, and financial performance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in high-volume manufacturing and automated production systems, with a proven ability to improve equipment uptime, reduce downtime, and drive operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead plant operations in line with company strategy and objectives.Manage operating plans, budgets, capital investment, capacity, and plant P&L.Build and develop a high-performing leadership team and workforce.Drive safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and customer-focused performance.Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.Use KPIs and operational data to improve performance and decision-making.Oversee maintenance, workforce planning, inventory, and capacity management.Support product launches, transfers, and business growth initiatives.Ensure regulatory, policy, and safety compliance.Drive corrective and preventive actions to improve quality.What You’ll BringBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred BUT not required.5+ years’ progressive manufacturing leadership experience.Proven P&L responsibility and ownership of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development.Strong leadership, team-building, and organisational development skills.Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Proficiency in manufacturing KPIs and business reporting tools.Experience in high-volume industrial or building products manufacturing.Working knowledge of OSHA and relevant regulatory requirements.
