The organization is committed to continuous improvement and strives for operational perfection.Role Description The Plant Manager – Hot Forging Plant is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations at the hot forging facility, ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, and with consistent quality. This full-time, on-site role, located in the Pune Division, involves planning and monitoring daily production schedules, managing shop-floor activities, optimizing resource utilization, and coordinating with maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams. The Plant Manager will lead and develop plant personnel, implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. The role also includes managing budgets, tracking KPIs, resolving operational issues, and supporting customer requirements and audits.Qualifications Solid experience in plant operations management, especially in hot forging, metal forming, or heavy manufacturing environments.Strong skills in production planning, process optimization, and resource management to meet volume, quality, and cost targets.Knowledge of quality systems, ISO/TS standards, and familiarity with automotive component manufacturing and heat treatment processes.Proficiency in safety management, risk assessment, and implementation of workplace safety and environmental practices.Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team supervision, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making using KPIs and metrics.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, production reports, and technical documentation, with strong problem-solving skills.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners.Prior experience in an automotive or bearing components environment and familiarity with ERP or manufacturing systems is preferred.
