Plant / Production Manager

Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Plant / Production Manager at Ultra Srl. The Plant / Production Manager oversees daily production planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure output meets quality, cost, and delivery targets. The role includes monitoring production performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing process improvements. Responsibilities also involve managing remote communication with shift leads and technicians, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures. The Plant / Production Manager collaborates with supply chain, quality, and maintenance teams to optimize resource utilization and support continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications Demonstrated experience in plant or production management, with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and workflow optimization.Ability to analyze production data, track KPIs, and use basic tools or software to monitor efficiency and quality performance.Strong organizational skills, including capacity planning, scheduling, and prioritization of tasks in a remote environment.Effective communication and leadership abilities to coordinate cross-functional teams and guide staff at different locations.Familiarity with safety regulations, quality standards, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, 5S, or similar).Comfort with digital tools for remote management, including video conferencing, collaboration platforms, and production tracking systems.Relevant technical or engineering background preferred; previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is an advantage.Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and maintain accountability within part-time working hours.
