Platform Business AnalystLocation: Malta (Hybrid – 3 days per week on-site)Salary: €38,000 – €45,000 per annumAbout the OpportunityWe're looking for a proactive Platform Business Analyst to join a growing technology-driven business. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving operational challenges, improving business processes, and working closely with both technical and non-technical teams to deliver platform enhancements.You'll play a key role in analysing business needs, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring platform initiatives are delivered effectively. The successful candidate will be comfortable investigating issues, managing requirements, and supporting projects from initial discovery through to implementation.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Platform ImprovementsGather, analyse, and document business requirements for platform enhancements and operational improvements.Translate business needs into clear user stories, functional specifications, and development tickets.Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments to identify challenges and recommend practical solutions.Support the prioritisation of platform enhancements based on business value and operational impact.Assist with testing, validation, and rollout of new platform features and system updates.Maintain accurate documentation of business processes, workflows, and system requirements.Data Analysis & Operational SupportMonitor platform performance and key operational metrics.Analyse reports and dashboards to identify trends, inefficiencies, and recurring issues.Investigate data discrepancies and work alongside technical teams to resolve them.Produce meaningful reports and insights to support business decision-making.Recommend improvements to processes and workflows using data-driven analysis.Stakeholder CollaborationAct as the key link between business users and technical teams.Communicate project updates and ensure stakeholders remain informed throughout delivery.Clarify business requirements to ensure successful implementation.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across business systems and internal processes.Skills & ExperienceAt least 2 years' experience in a Business Analyst, Platform Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role.Experience within a fast-paced technology, SaaS, fintech, digital services, e-commerce, or online business.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Experience producing business requirements, user stories, process documentation, and functional specifications.Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.Experience using reporting or business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or equivalent.Understanding of platform workflows, business processes, system logic, and user journeys.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Highly organised with strong attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a collaborative environment.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.DesirableBasic SQL knowledge.Experience working with APIs or third-party integrations.Familiarity with AI productivity or analytics tools.Previous involvement in digital transformation or process improvement initiatives.
