Platform Engineer

Role SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to design, build, automate, and manage enterprise-grade application platforms and cloud-native infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes orchestration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and platform automation to enable secure, scalable, and reliable software delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain enterprise platform infrastructure and developer platformsDevelop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, deployment, and release processesDeploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and enterprise container platformsImplement GitOps practices for automated application deployment and infrastructure managementAutomate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) toolsManage virtualization and cloud infrastructure environmentsMonitor platform performance, availability, and reliability while implementing continuous improvementsCollaborate with Development, DevOps, Security, and Operations teams to deliver scalable platform solutionsImplement platform security, governance, backup, and disaster recovery best practicesCreate technical documentation, operational runbooks, and deployment standardsMust-Have SkillsExperience with GitLab OR Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline development and automationExperience with Argo CD for GitOps-based application deploymentExperience with SonarQube for code quality and static code analysisExperience with Renovate Bot or comparable dependency management and automation toolsHands-on experience with Docker OR Docker Compose for containerizationExperience with Kubernetes OR OpenShift OR Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) OR Google Cloud Run for container orchestration and cloud-native application deploymentExperience with Terraform OR Ansible for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration managementExperience with VMware vCenter OR OpenStack for virtualization and private cloud infrastructureStrong knowledge of Linux system administration and shell scriptingUnderstanding of cloud-native architecture, networking, security, and platform engineering best practicesGood to HaveExperience with AWS OR Microsoft Azure OR Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Experience with Helm OR KustomizeKnowledge of Prometheus OR Grafana OR ELK Stack for monitoring and observabilityExperience with HashiCorp Vault or other secrets management solutionsFamiliarity with Python OR Go for platform automationExperience implementing DevSecOps practicesKnowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio or LinkerdQualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field3–12+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure AutomationPreferred SkillsExperience designing and operating enterprise Kubernetes platformsStrong understanding of GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native engineering principlesExperience delivering enterprise DevOps and platform modernization initiativesExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsExcellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to build secure, scalable, highly available, and automated platform solutions
