Platform Engineer

Platform Engineer | Enterprise AI / FinTech | London (Onsite) | Up to £150kWe're working with a fast-growing, well-funded enterprise AI company building technology for major financial institutions. Following a significant recent funding round, the business is scaling rapidly and is looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to take ownership of its cloud infrastructure, DevOps, observability and compliance readiness.This is a high-impact role suited to someone who enjoys building and owning infrastructure end-to-end within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Key responsibilities:Architect, build and maintain scalable, secure and highly available cloud infrastructureOwn and improve CI/CD pipelines across backend, frontend and data servicesDrive observability across logging, metrics, tracing, alerting and on-call processesSupport SOC 2 / ISO 27001 readiness and broader security/compliance initiativesManage cloud performance and costs, identifying opportunities to improve efficiencyChampion DevOps, reliability, security and operational best practices across engineeringTechnical environment:Azure - strong experience preferred; AWS exposure advantageousTerraform, Kubernetes/AKS, Docker and GitHub ActionsStrong understanding of networking including VPCs, DNS, load balancers, VPNs and firewallsProduction database and storage experience including PostgreSQL/MySQL/NoSQLSecurity tooling, secrets management and vulnerability scanningPython or Bash for scripting and automationIdeal background:Approximately 4–7 years of Platform, DevOps, SRE or Infrastructure Engineering experienceExperience within a startup, scale-up or high-growth/high-load environmentProven ownership of infrastructure from architecture through to production supportExperience improving reliability, security and cloud cost efficiencyExposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001 and/or GDPR environmentsComfortable operating in an ambitious environment where priorities can move quickly and expectations are high📩 Get in touch to hear more.
