Platform Engineer (Geospatial) - Dubai

We're hiring: Platform Engineer (Geospatial) - DubaiAirscope Tech has been delivering drone surveys and construction site monitoring across the UAE. Our AirTech Portal puts orthophotos, 3D models, 360° panoramas, timelapse and live PTZ camera feeds in front of some of the region's largest developers - it is live, it carries paying clients, and it is central to how they see their projects.We are looking for an engineer to take ownership of the platform: keep it running, keep it secure, and keep it moving forward.What you'll own- A production React / Node.js / PostgreSQL + PostGIS platform- Releases and infrastructure - Docker on Linux, Cloudflare (R2, Workers, Pages), staging to production- The geospatial pipeline - Python / GDAL processing for orthophotos, elevation models and map tiles- Onboarding client sites, including coordinate systems and datums- Security and reliability - authentication, access control, backups, monitoring- Working with our survey team and specialist contractors on processing and new featuresWhat we need- Solid full-stack JavaScript experience, with work shipped to production- PostgreSQL, ideally with PostGIS- Comfortable working with Linux servers and Docker deployments- GIS fundamentals - coordinate systems, projections, raster data - or a strong willingness to learn them- Good security habits - session/JWT auth, access control, handling secrets properly- Web mapping or 3D on the web (Leaflet, MapLibre, CesiumJS or Three.js)- Confident using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor or similar) day to day- Able to pick up a well-documented but complex codebase and grow into owning itGreat if you also have- Photogrammetry experience, particularly Agisoft Metashape- 3D formats - 3D Tiles, point clouds, Gaussian splats, 360° panoramas- Video streaming or IP camera integration (RTSP, WebRTC)- CI/CD setup and observability- Drone, surveying or construction industry background- ArabicWhat we offer- Real ownership of a live product with a clear roadmap- A small team where your work is in front of clients every week- Hands-on exposure to drone survey, 3D and geospatial technologyBased in Dubai, full-time.
