PLC & Scada Engineer - Water or Wastewater Treatment projects

Role OverviewThe PLC & SCADA Engineer will design, develop, test, commission, and maintain PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for water and wastewater treatment plants. The role involves integrating instrumentation, electrical systems, VFDs, analyzers, and field devices to ensure reliable and efficient plant operations.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems as per project specificationsDevelop control philosophies, I/O lists, network architecture, and automation documentationConfigure communication protocols including Modbus RTU/TCP, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and OPCDevelop SCADA graphics, alarms, historical trending, reporting, user access, and security featuresConduct FAT, SAT, I/O testing, loop checks, commissioning, and plant start-up supportTroubleshoot automation, instrumentation, and communication issuesIntegrate field instruments such as flow, pressure, and level transmitters, and water quality analyzersCoordinate with electrical and mechanical teams during installation and commissioningPrepare FDS, operation manuals, commissioning reports, as-built documentation, and program backups.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering3–8 years of industrial automation experience, including at least 5 years in water or wastewater treatment projectsHands-on experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols.
