Location: Remote UK, with occasional travel to Liverpool (North West, UK)Contract: Permanent, Full TimeReporting to: Technical Programme DirectorAbout UsCome and be part of The Investigo Group (TIG), a group of technology businesses specialising in Platform, Software, Data, AI and other advanced technology solutions. We provide secure, user-centric products and services, combining deep technical knowledge with strong data and analytical capability. We work with organisations that require innovative, enterprise-level technology solutions and long-term delivery partnerships.About YouYou'll likely be an established PMO, programme or project delivery professional who enjoys bringing structure to busy environments while also influencing how things are done. You'll be comfortable working with project managers, technical teams, workstream leads and senior stakeholders. You'll be confident asking questions, constructively challenging and ensuring actions, risks and dependencies are followed through. You'll understand that teams may use different delivery methodologies, including Agile, and will be able to connect that activity into wider programme and portfolio governance without imposing unnecessary process. You won't be expected to build a PMO from scratch. We want someone who can operate an existing framework effectively, help embed it, identify where it could work better and bring useful ideas from other environments.About the RoleWe're looking for an experienced PMO & Delivery Analyst to help improve how projects are governed, reported and delivered across the organisation. We are introducing a more consistent project framework covering governance, reporting, RAID management, resource forecasting and portfolio visibility. The framework will be in place but still relatively new, so you'll take ownership of running it day-to-day, helping embed it across teams and recommending improvements as our delivery capability matures. We are also consolidating a number of smaller workstreams and project activities into fewer, larger programmes where we can apply more consistent governance, reporting and project controls. Our delivery environment includes teams working in different ways, including Agile delivery. You'll help ensure Agile-delivered projects are appropriately connected into wider programme governance, dependencies, reporting and portfolio oversight. This isn't a traditional PMO role focused only on administration and reporting. Alongside portfolio oversight and governance, you'll also take on elements of direct project delivery. The role is expected to be approximately 70% PMO and portfolio activity and 30% project delivery, making it well suited to an established PMO professional looking for greater ownership, visibility and hands-on delivery experience. We're more interested in the relevance and quality of your experience than prescribing a specific number of years. You should have demonstrable experience within a PMO, programme delivery, portfolio, project controls or closely related delivery environment, with practical experience operating governance and controls rather than solely providing administrative support. You should also have experience or good working familiarity with Agile ways of working and understand how Agile projects interact with wider programme governance, reporting and portfolio controls.Experience improving an existing PMO framework, standardising project processes or taking ownership of smaller projects would be particularly relevant. What You'll Be DoingWorking closely with the Technical Programme Director and stakeholders across the organisation, you will:Operate and help embed our project and programme governance framework.Support oversight of an evolving portfolio as workstreams are consolidated into larger programmes.Work with project and workstream leads to maintain plans, milestones, dependencies and actions.Work with Agile teams so projects, milestones, risks and dependencies are reflected in wider programme governance and portfolio reporting.Own and facilitate consistent RAID management across the portfolio.Produce clear project and portfolio reporting for sponsors and senior stakeholders.Provide a consolidated view of project health, priorities, risks and delivery progress.Support resource and capacity forecasting across projects and workstreams.Review processes, templates and project artefacts and recommend practical improvements.Help develop a more consistent approach to project and portfolio tooling.Work across platforms including Jira, Monday.com, spreadsheets and Microsoft 365, while helping assess longer-term tooling needs.Provide structure without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.Take ownership of elements of direct project delivery and smaller projects where appropriate.Bring ideas and external experience that help our programme delivery capability evolve. What Success Looks LikeSuccess is about creating greater visibility, consistency and confidence across our project portfolio. Over time, we would expect you to help us:Establish a reliable view of key projects and programmes.Embed clear governance and project controls.Improve reporting to senior stakeholders.Ensure risks, issues, actions and dependencies are actively managed.Develop a clearer view of resource demand and capacity.Help teams adopt consistent ways of working while accommodating appropriate methodologies, including Agile.Ensure Agile-delivered projects are effectively represented within programme governance and portfolio reporting.Identify improvements to frameworks, processes and tooling.Take increasing ownership of project delivery alongside your PMO responsibilities. Why This Role? This is an opportunity to join at a point where you can genuinely influence how our PMO and programme delivery capability develops. You won't be joining a large, established function where every process is already fixed. The core framework will be in place, but we want you to help make it work effectively in practice and improve it where appropriate. You'll gain visibility across a broad range of projects, work with stakeholders across the organisation and combine portfolio-level oversight with hands-on delivery. There is genuine scope for the role to develop as the business grows. For the right person, this could ultimately mean progressing further into Project or Programme Management, or towards a future PMO Lead / Head of PMO position.RequirementsStrong understanding of project governance and project controls.Experience of RAID management and project reporting.Experience working across multiple projects or workstreams.Good understanding of Agile ways of working and how Agile delivery interacts with programme and portfolio governance.Ability to consolidate information into clear, meaningful management reporting.Understanding of resource planning, capacity forecasting or workforce planning in a project environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organisation and attention to detail.Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders.Ability to challenge constructively and follow through on actions.Pragmatic approach to introducing structure without unnecessary bureaucracy.Ability to work independently and take ownership in a predominantly remote environment.Strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.Nice to HaveIt would be useful, but not essential, if you have:Experience with Jira, Monday.com, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet or similar tools.Experience working alongside software or technology teams using Agile practices.Experience in a technology, software, infrastructure or technical delivery environment.Experience helping improve or mature a PMO or portfolio-management function.Previous hands-on project delivery experience.Experience producing reporting for senior leadership or executive stakeholders.Exposure to resource and capacity modelling.A recognised project management or PMO qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI or P3O.Formal qualifications are not essential. Relevant practical experience and your ability to operate effectively in the role are more important to us.If you're an experienced PMO or programme professional looking for greater ownership, visibility and the opportunity to combine governance with hands-on delivery, we'd be interested in hearing from you.BenefitsPrivate Medical & Health Cash PlanHoliday: Generous holiday allowance4x Life AssuranceBonus PotentialPensionEV Car SchemeMore Benefits: Explore additional benefits on our career site.
