We empower our leaders to deliver meaningful change, solve complex challenges, and shape the future of our business through innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.Job DescriptionThe RoleWe are seeking an experienced PMO Team Lead to lead a team of Project and Programme Managers while driving the successful delivery of strategic initiatives across our On Premise business.This role combines people leadership, portfolio management, and hands-on programme delivery. As PMO Team Lead, you will oversee a portfolio of projects and programmes, manage demand and resource allocation, ensure governance standards are met, and drive successful execution across multiple stakeholders, functions, technologies, and geographies.You will play a key role in the organisation's transformation agenda, partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact outcomes while developing and mentoring a high-performing PMO team.Salary - £45,500 - £50,125 GBP gross per year. Placement within the range will depend on objective criteria including experience, skills, and internal equity considerations. We are committed to equal pay and pay transparency. Remuneration decisions are made using gender-neutral and objective criteria.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop a team of 5-6 Project and Programme ManagersManage project demand, prioritisation, and resource allocation in line with business strategy and organizational objectives and oversee project portfolio performance, ensuring effective governance, reporting, and stakeholder communicationSupport career development, performance management, and capability building across the PMO team and develop and maintain onboarding and training programmes for Project and Programme ManagersDrive proactive identification, escalation, and resolution of project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests and facilitate cross-functional planning and stakeholder discussions to ensure key dependencies are identified and effectively managedLead 1-2 strategic projects or programmes alongside people management responsibilitiesEnsure production readiness activities, sign-offs, governance requirements, and project documentation standards are completedBuild strong relationships with senior stakeholders and drive alignment across teams and functions and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture focused on delivery excellence and continuous improvementWhat We're Looking ForExperience10+ years of experience in Programme Management, Project Management, PMO leadership, or a related disciplineProven track record of delivering large-scale business, technology, operations, or transformation programmesExperience leading and developing project and programme management teams and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environmentExperience working with senior executives, including C-suite stakeholders and strong background in leading cross-functional, geographically dispersed, and virtual teamsSkills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and people management capabilitiesExcellent stakeholder management and influencing skillsProven ability to gain buy-in and drive alignment across multiple functions, levels, and culturesStrong portfolio, programme, and project governance expertise and excellent risk management, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsOutstanding communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilitiesExperience with project and portfolio management tools such as Smartsheet, Monday.com, Jira, or similar platformsHighly organised, adaptable, proactive, and results-orientedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldPMP, PRINCE2, Agile, MSP, or equivalent Project Management certification is preferredFluent English communication skills, both written and verbalWorking PatternFlexible working hours may be required to support collaboration across multiple regions and time zonesWhat We OfferAnnual bonus opportunity, subject to company and individual performanceComprehensive benefits package supporting healthcare, retirement planning, wellbeing, work-life balance, and family-friendly policies based on local eligibility rules.
