OverviewAstro Offshore is seeking an experienced PMS Engineer to support the Technical team in managing and continuously improving the fleet’s Planned Maintenance System (PMS).The role will support PMS administration, maintenance planning, equipment and spare parts data, fleet PMS reporting and KPIs, system troubleshooting, data integrity, system upgrades, and PMS setup for new vessels and vessel acquisitions.The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of maritime/offshore experience in vessel PMS administration, maintenance planning, or technical management, with strong knowledge of vessel maintenance and PMS systems.ResponsibilitiesManage the configuration, administration and continuous improvement of the fleet PMS, ensuring it is accurate, standardised, technically robust and effectively used.Maintain fleet-wide PMS standards for equipment hierarchy, job routines, maintenance intervals, coding and data quality.Ensure OEM recommendations and ISM, Class, Flag, statutory and company requirements are incorporated into the PMS; document and escalate deviations for technical approval.Maintain and review equipment registers, maintenance schedules, job routines, spare parts data and maintenance history, ensuring information is accurate and current.Maintain safety-critical and critical equipment requirements within the PMS and escalate overdue critical maintenance or significant non-compliance.Monitor planned, overdue and backlog maintenance; challenge and escalate to Vessel Managers and technical personnel as required. Vessel Teams retain responsibility for maintenance execution.Prepare fleet PMS KPIs and reports covering completion, overdue work, critical equipment compliance, backlog, data quality and maintenance trends.Support vessel crews and shore-based personnel with PMS use, maintenance planning, troubleshooting and system-related queries.Provide PMS training and guidance and promote consistent system use across the fleet.Support PMS setup for vessel acquisitions, newbuilds and vessels entering management, including equipment, maintenance and spare parts data.Coordinate PMS upgrades, enhancements, data migrations and new functionality with software providers and internal stakeholders.Conduct periodic PMS data-integrity reviews and coordinate correction of identified gaps or inconsistencies.Prepare project reports, Gantt charts and implementation plans for PMS improvement and digitalisation projects.Report significant PMS, compliance or maintenance issues to the PMS Superintendent and escalate material matters to the Technical Director as required. Skills & Experience3–5 years of maritime/offshore experience in vessel PMS administration, maintenance planning or technical management. Fleet PMS configuration or implementation experience is desirable.Strong knowledge of maritime PMS and vessel maintenance; OEM maintenance data; data integrity and analysis; PMS KPIs; troubleshooting; planning; reporting; training; communication and problem-solving.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Information Technology or a related discipline.
