PMV Maintenance Engineer

Job Title - PMV Maintenance EngineerJob Location- Lusail, QatarJob OverviewPlan and implement preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshoot breakdowns and coordinate repairs for equipment and vehicles at project sites to ensure optimal reliability, safety and minimal downtime.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure that machinery, systems and equipment operate optimally with minimal downtime by planning and executing maintenance tasks.Conduct maintenance process audits and inspections to verify compliance with procedures and identify improvement opportunities.Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and develop corrective actions or repair plans.Undertake planned maintenance and establish maintenance procedures and protocols for new and existing equipment.Train equipment operators and maintenance staff on proper operating and maintenance procedures.Respond promptly to major equipment breakdowns, coordinating on-site repairs and liaising with vendors for specialist support.Forecast and plan for system overhauls and upgrades, taking long-term maintenance costs into account.Supervise and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians during maintenance activities.Procure, test and commission specialist components, fixtures or fittings as required.Work closely with the maintenance manager and finance department to manage maintenance budgets and set and track KPIs.Supervise the maintenance, inspection, and certification of lifting equipment, mobile cranes, and other heavy equipment.Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.8 - 12 years’ experience in PMV maintenance within the construction industry.Relevant certifications in equipment maintenance and experience with construction machinery.Strong technical knowledge of construction machinery and equipment.Strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of safety regulations, and hands-on experience in maintenance operations.
