Podcast Studio Operator

We’re hiring: Podcast Operator, Dubai Design District (d3)Short is a French creative agency, leader in its market in France, with 500+ companies supported in 3 years. We are now building our UAE branch from our new offices in Dubai Design District.We are opening a professional podcast studio there, and we’re looking for the person who will run it day to day.The roleYou own every recording session, from the moment the guests walk in to the moment they leave with their files. You make sure clients have a great experience, and you make sure the recording goes smoothly.What you’ll doWelcome clients and guests, brief them and make them feel at ease on cameraPrepare the studio before each session: cameras, lighting, microphones, sound checksRun recordings of up to 4 guests and keep an eye on image and sound throughoutBack up the rushes and hand them over to clients at the end of each sessionManage the studio calendar and bookingsKeep the studio clean, tidy and ready for the next sessionTake care of the equipment and flag anything that needs fixingRequirements (applications that don’t meet them will not be considered)Previous experience as an operator or technician in a podcast studio (at least 1 year)Previous experience in a client-facing role: studio, hospitality, events or similarCurrently based in DubaiAble to work onsite at Dubai Design District (d3)Professional level of EnglishNice to haveFrench speaker (most of our clients are French-speaking)Valid UAE residence visa and work permitAvailable for some evening or weekend sessionsAble to start quicklyWhat we offerA brand new, fully equipped studio in Dubai Design DistrictA key role in a fast-growing agency, with real ownershipA young French team, with high standards and short feedback loopsFreelance or full-time, depending on your profile
