Do you have hands-on experience with classification management policy — CUI, NISP, Programme Protection Plans or DoD 5200.01? A fast growing, award winning DC based national security contractor is looking for a Senior Classification and Programme Protection Security SME to support the Office of the Under Secretary of War at the Pentagon.This role sits at the heart of how the Department of War governs its most sensitive programmes and classified information.If your career has been in ISOO, NSC, OSD or a Military Department headquarters working on classification policy, CUI governance, NISP or Programme Protection Plans — this is your lane.What you'd be doing:Developing and staffing DoW policy on classification management and programme protection, conducting security reviews, assessing PPPs and coordinating across DCSA, Joint Staff J28, OSD R&E and the DoW CIO on SCRM and information security policy integration.What they need:Active TS/SCI — non negotiable10 years DoD information security policy — specifically classification management5 years drafting and staffing DoD Directives and Instructions4 years staff action officer at OSD, JCS or Military Department HQ levelPPP, CUI, NISP and SCRM experienceThe ideal background:ISOO, NSC, OSD, OUSD(I&S) or Military Department HQ. Experience with Presidential Directives governing classified information is a strong differentiator.This is not a cybersecurity role.
