Company Description PT. The shipyard offers 24-hour operational project management to support reliable and efficient service delivery for its customers.Role Description The Port Pilot is responsible for safely guiding vessels in and out of the shipyard and associated port facilities, ensuring efficient and compliant navigation within the harbor area. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lamongan, working closely with ship captains, tug operators, port operations teams, and shipyard personnel to coordinate berthing, docking, and undocking activities. Daily tasks include planning pilotage operations, boarding vessels, advising on maneuvering and speed, monitoring weather and sea conditions, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations and operational procedures. The Port Pilot supports smooth scheduling of ship movements, communicates with port authorities and traffic control, and contributes to incident prevention and emergency response readiness.Qualifications Strong knowledge of port operations, ship handling, and harbor navigation, including maneuvering large vessels in confined waters.Understanding of maritime safety regulations, international and local shipping rules, and environmental compliance standards.Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in spoken and written English and Bahasa Indonesia, with effective coordination skills across diverse teams.Solid situational awareness, decision-making, and problem-solving skills under time-sensitive and changing conditions.Relevant maritime education or certification, such as a nautical or marine transportation degree, pilotage license, or equivalent professional qualification.Previous experience as a ship officer, harbor pilot, or in a similar maritime role within port or shipyard operations is highly beneficial.Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties, in line with 24-hour operational requirements.Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement, aligned with DPL’s certified management systems and industry standards.
