Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Portable Metrology Engineer to join our quality team in Gulf. You will perform high-accuracy dimensional inspections using portable measurement systems, process point cloud data in PolyWorks and PC-DMIS, and support manufacturing and quality teams with reliable, traceable results.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate portable measuring devices (Hexagon portable arms and laser trackers, ZEISS portable systems) for on-site and shop-floor inspectionUse PolyWorks Inspector to align, analyze, and report on scan and probe dataUse PC-DMIS to process and inspect point clouds, including scan data comparison against CAD modelsClean, filter, and align point clouds, and generate color maps and deviation reportsPerform dimensional inspections, first-article inspections (FAI), and reverse engineering as requiredInterpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and GD&T requirementsCreate inspection plans, measurement routines, and clear inspection reportsConduct equipment setup, calibration checks, and routine maintenance of portable systemsWork with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve non-conformancesMaintain measurement accuracy, traceability, and compliance with quality standardsRequired Qualifications6-9 years of hands-on experience in metrology or dimensional inspectionProficiency in PolyWorks and/or PC-DMIS, including working with point cloudsExperience with Hexagon or ZEISS portable devices (portable CMM arms, laser trackers, laser scanners)Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and measurement uncertaintyExperience with CAD-to-part comparison and inspection report generationDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)Willingness to relocate and work on-site, with travel to project locations as neededPreferred QualificationsExperience in oil & gas, aerospace, automotive, heavy fabrication, or power industriesCertifications in PolyWorks, PC-DMIS, Hexagon, or ZEISS systemsFamiliarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 10360 standardsKnowledge of 3D laser scanning and reverse engineering workflowsGood English communication skills; Arabic is a plusWhat We OfferCompetitive tax-free salaryRelocation support.Medical insurance, annual flights, and other benefits.Opportunity to work on large-scale projects in a growing market.How to ApplySend your updated CV to info@xellr.com or apply directly through LinkedIn.
