Our client, one of the UK's leading financial services companies, is seeking an experienced Portfolio PMO Planning, Reporting & Assurance Lead to support the successful delivery of a complex portfolio of business and technology change within a highly regulated environment.This is a senior leadership role operating at the centre of the PMO function, responsible for ensuring the effective governance, planning, reporting, assurance, and control of multiple change programmes. The role provides an independent view of portfolio health and performance, enabling senior stakeholders to make informed strategic decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the delivery of PMO services across a portfolio of strategic change initiatives.Own the accuracy, quality, and completeness of portfolio plans, governance artefacts, and reporting outputs.Provide clear, evidence-based assessments of portfolio performance, risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery confidence.Oversee portfolio planning activities, including milestone tracking, roadmap management, and release reporting.Ensure effective management of RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies) processes across programmes.Drive adherence to governance, assurance, and control frameworks.Monitor portfolio finances, resource utilisation, benefits realisation, and change controls.Conduct assurance reviews and identify areas requiring corrective action or additional support.Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of PMO frameworks, methodologies, and reporting standards.Experience RequiredProven experience managing planning, governance, reporting, assurance, financial oversight, resourcing, and RAID management across large-scale, multi-workstream change portfolios.Previous experience working within a regulated industry, such as financial services, insurance, banking, utilities, telecommunications, healthcare, or similar sectors.Strong understanding of portfolio governance, assurance frameworks, and senior stakeholder reporting.Experience producing executive-level reporting for senior leadership teams and governance committees.Demonstrated ability to establish, implement, and maintain PMO standards and controls across complex delivery environments.Leadership experienceFinancial services/banking industry experienceBenefitsSalary up to £95,000 + up to 20% bonusHybrid working: 1 to 2 days a week in the officeCar allowance28 days holiday plus bank holidays (option to buy and sell)Life assurance (6x annual salary)Personal pension with matched contributionsOngoing training and opportunities for developmentIf you are interested in the role, please apply now for immediate review!
