Khalifa University (KU) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to contribute to a funded project investigating the geological and geochemical history of the polar regions. The project will focus on Early Earth crustal evolution by applying radiogenic isotope systems (Nd–Sr–Hf), oxygen isotopes, and non-traditional stable isotopes (K, Zn, Fe, Cu, and Ca). The successful candidate will investigate the distribution and behavior of these isotope systems in tonalite–trondhjemite–granodiorite (TTG) rocks to constrain the formation and evolution of Earth’s early continental crust preserved in the polar regions. The researcher will have access to state-of-the-art analytical facilities and research infrastructure at Khalifa University and will collaborate with researchers and graduate students from diverse scientific backgrounds.Conduct independent research with limited supervision and prepare or contribute to conference papers and manuscripts for publication in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.Conduct and interpret geochemical analyses of Archean zircons, including U–Pb geochronology and Hf–O isotope analyses.Conduct and interpret whole-rock non-traditional stable-isotope analyses of Archean TTG samples from cratons associated with the polar regions.Develop innovative approaches, concepts, and analytical techniques to investigate Early Earth crustal evolution.Present research findings at international conferences, subject to the availability of funding.Comply with the University’s information-security and confidentiality policies and procedures and promptly report any breaches or security risks.Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.Required SCOPUSFor early postdocs hire: Leading 2 Q1 publicationsFor experienced postdocs hire: Leading 2 Q1 publications yearly with FCWI >1
