Post-Fixture Vessel Operator | Dry Bulk Shipping | DubaiA leading international shipping organisation is seeking an experienced Post-Fixture Vessel Operator to join its Dubai-based operations team.This is a hands-on role with end-to-end responsibility for the operational and financial execution of assigned dry bulk voyages, working closely with Masters, Owners, Charterers, brokers, agents and internal stakeholders.Key Responsibilities• Take full operational ownership of assigned vessels, including 24/7 and after-hours support where required• Plan and execute voyages in accordance with charter party terms and commercial objectives• Act as the primary point of contact for the daily operation of assigned vessels• Issue voyage instructions and coordinate the appointment of agents and weather routing providers• Coordinate bunker requirements and arrangements with the relevant internal teams• Liaise closely with Masters, Charterers, Owners, brokers and agents to ensure efficient vessel operations• Review and approve stowage plans and ensure cargo is loaded in accordance with charter party requirements• Manage post-fixture operations through to the completion and closing of the vessel file• Handle freight, hire, bunker invoices and agency disbursement accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely payment or collection• Review and finalise agency final disbursement accounts and investigate discrepancies against estimated costs• Complete and maintain accurate laytime calculations following loading and discharge operations• Maintain up-to-date fixture lists, bunker books, cargo books, charter party logs, payment records and laytime records• Maintain accurate voyage P&L records and provide regular updates on voyage performance• Identify and escalate cargo claims, potential disputes and operational issues to management• Work independently with a high degree of ownership, accountability and commercial awarenessCandidate Profile• Minimum 4 years' experience in the marine industry• At least 3 years' experience within dry bulk shipping• Proven experience in post-fixture vessel operations within an international shipping, ship-owning or ship operating environment• Strong knowledge of dry bulk charter parties, chartering and vessel operations• Excellent understanding of maritime economics and shipping law• Strong knowledge of laytime calculations• Familiarity with Charterers' P&I and Defence cover requirements is advantageous• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills• Excellent English communication skills• Relevant degree in Commerce, Science or a related disciplineThis opportunity would suit an experienced dry bulk operations professional who is comfortable taking ownership of voyages from fixture through to completion and who enjoys working in a commercially focused, fast-paced international shipping environment.📍 Location: Dubai, UAE📩 Interested candidates are invited to apply or contact me directly for further information.#Shipping #DryBulk #Maritime #VesselOperations #PostFixture #ShipOperations #Chartering #DubaiJobs #MaritimeJobs #ShippingJobs #UAEJobs
