Duration: 1 YearCompensation: Paid Postdoctoral ProgramGAO Group & Aperture Venture Studio are looking for recent PhDs and early-career researchers for a paid Postdoctoral Researcher position focused on AI and IoT.The role focuses on IoT systems, intelligent connected devices, edge computing, sensing and AI-enabled systems, with opportunities to develop practical prototypes, applications and potential commercial opportunities.Candidates who successfully complete one year will receive a Postdoctoral Program Certificate. There may also be an opportunity for extension or transition to a longer-term research or technical role, based on performance, business needs and mutual interest.Research Areas:IoT & Intelligent Connected SystemsEdge Computing & Edge AIIntelligent Sensing & Sensor FusionAI/ML for IoTDigital Twins & Cyber-Physical SystemsRobotics & Physical AIIndustrial IoT & Smart Infrastructure.What You'll Work On:Conduct applied research in AI and IoT.Research emerging IoT technologies, architectures and applications.Develop IoT prototypes and proof-of-concept systems.Work with sensors, connected devices, gateways and edge/cloud platforms.Explore AI/ML applications for IoT-generated data.Conduct experiments and evaluate system performance.Develop technical demonstrations.Contribute to research papers and technical reports.Explore technology development and commercialization opportunities.Collaborate with researchers, engineers and industry professionals.Who Should Apply?PhD or final-year PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, IoT, Robotics, AI/ML, Embedded Systems or a related STEM field.Strong IoT expertise and working knowledge of AI are encouraged.Experience with Python, C/C++, embedded systems, sensors, wireless communications, IoT platforms, edge/cloud computing, computer vision, digital twins or robotics is valuable.
