Postdoctoral Fellow

The postdoctoral fellow will join a team of researchers seeking to identify the Cryptococcus targets of naturally occurring human antibodies. The incumbent will conduct studies of the effects of antibody binding on Cryptococcus growth, gene expression, and proteomics. The incumbent will also be responsible for primary data analysis and will be a primary writer of manuscripts and is expected to publish in peer-reviewed journals. The incumbent will also participate in grant writing activities, train research technicians and other lab staff and actively participate in lab and departmental scientific meetings.

Qualifications

The qualifications for the position include experience with fungal cell culture, immunofluorescence and other imaging techniques, flow cytometry. Experience with proteomics and microbial sequencing techniques is also desirable. MD or PhD required.
