They will be required to:a) conduct high-quality independent and collaborative research, development, and engineering works in the technical areas of the assigned project(s);b) develop and validate new theories, models, algorithms, materials, devices, prototypes, experimental platforms, or system solutions, as appropriate;c) plan and execute research and development tasks, analyse and interpret results, address technical challenges, and contribute to the timely achievement of project milestones and deliverables;d) prepare high-quality publications, technical reports, proposals, patent disclosures, demonstrations, and other knowledge transfer outputs;e) collaborate with local and non-local academic and industry partners, and assist in supervising research staff and students where appropriate; andf) perform any other duties as assigned by the Project Leaders and Centre Directors. QualificationsApplicants should have:a) a doctoral degree or an equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, Applied Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline;b) a strong research background and a good publication record in one or more relevant areas, such as power systems, power electronics, energy management, electric transportation, energy storage, AI, IoT, edge computing, building energy systems, materials, manufacturing, or quantum technologies;c) the ability to conduct research independently and solve complex technical problems, with a strong interest in interdisciplinary research and a strong sense of responsibility;d) strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to supervise junior researchers and proactively support the Project Leader in advancing the assigned research project(s).e) a good command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Chinese, including Putonghua, would be an advantage.RemunerationA highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
