The researcher will conduct high-quality empirical and/or theoretical research in finance, collaborate with faculty on ongoing projects, and contribute to publications in reputable academic journals. Daily responsibilities include designing and executing research studies, collecting and analyzing data, preparing manuscripts and conference presentations, and participating in departmental seminars and workshops. The role may also involve limited support for teaching activities, mentorship of graduate students, and contribution to grant proposals and research initiatives within the department. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance faculty to advance the university’s research profile and engage with the academic community.Qualifications Completed or near-completed PhD in Finance, Financial Economics, Economics, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.Strong research skills, including experience in quantitative methods, econometrics, data analysis, and use of relevant statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, Python, or MATLAB).Proven ability to design and conduct independent research, with a track record or strong potential for publications in peer-reviewed journals.Excellent academic writing and communication skills, with the ability to present research clearly to both specialized and broader audiences.Ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse, multidisciplinary academic environment and to work independently with minimal supervision.Experience or interest in areas such as corporate finance, asset pricing, banking, financial markets, or related fields is highly beneficial.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with capacity to handle multiple research tasks and meet deadlines.Commitment to ethical research practices and adherence to institutional and international standards of academic integrity.Prior involvement in grant-funded projects, conference presentations, or academic networks is an advantage.
